Assemblage is a mixed state between two dimensionality and three dimensionality. In the past I often made low relief assemblages in an attempt to isolate an idea or tell a snippet of a story. I consider them a visual journal where I layer information into a relatively small space. I like the idea of a collapsed narrative space where ideas can surface and subside.
